omg, pickled tink!

On April 18, exactly 13 days away, minus 19 minutes, I will be sitting my slobbering ass in the Carnegie Library Music Hall, watching my life-long love sing his little heart out. I'm talking about ARLO GUTHRIE! Omg, I am ECSTATIC! My sweetie suggested driving up to Massachusetts to the Housatonic to see him perform at "the church", and when I went on the website, there it was - a live performance at Homestead! PLUS, there is a free concert in Erie in late July, and I'm hoping to go to that, too. The greatest thing about this is, Arlo NEVER comes to this side of PA - always over by Phillie.
I am so touched that Al was going to drive me to the Housatonic, and even happier that we don't have to go that far, AND can see him TWICE in one year!
I have been in love with Arlo since I was 11 years old, in the 7th grade, and happened upon a copy of "Alice's Restaurant" - I even named my cat after him when I was 16, heh. Ever since, I have followed him and his appearances, his career, and learned so much about folk music and his father's major role in the music. I am so PSYCHED, as if anyone couldn't tell, heh.
UPS will be bringing my tickets either tomorrow or Tuesday, and if they aren't here by then (which he paid extra for) I will be blowing a major CLOT on someone!
Arlo has Huntington's disease, just like his father, and has exceeded the life-expectancy projected for him and this disease - he has outlived his father's age. I've always wanted to see him before he does die, and NEVER thought I'd be able to - it's been my one un-fulfilled dream, now coming true.
I know, everybody is probably wondering, "wtf is she talking about? Arlo WHO??" All I can say is, you're missing a major talent and a major piece of musical history.

Okay, got that out of my system (not really, but it has eased my uber-hyper-ness, just a tad, lol)

Back to your regularly scheduled programming. :P

Nevermind - got it myself.

Gee, what a surprise! :/

Thanks anyway.

Probably not going to use it much anyway, *shrugs*

LOL! Is this me or what??

:D :D :D :D

Please help me build my "mini-city" - it's a cute little game, and I wanna see how big we can make the community.
You just go once a day, and as soon as the page loads, it "registers" your visit as another citizen.

Thanks in advance!

Here are 2 links - the first is to populate the community, the second is to build the industry - if you click both of them, we can really build this little 'burg up!

Increase population

Increase industry

this is kinda cute

and fills a milli-second of anyone's time -

My sister sent me a link to make a mini-city -

To Increase population : copy & paste or click if enabled -

go to this site and let load .... "a new citizen has just now moved into Ocampos
City" [caused by YOU letting the mini-city load]

there is no committment to do anything ...... nothing else to do ... no
referrals to make ... nothing to buy .... just a fun thing to do .....

one click per day ... per person .... makes this tiny place grow .... kind of
like Sim-City on a smaller scale .... the more clicks - the more citizens ....
the more citizens - the more industrialized the place will become .... it will
eventually have paved roads, industry, and even sky-scrapers in place of tiny
houses ...

I'm interested in seeing how far this place can or will grow ... thanks for any
clicks you want to give it ... you can always forward this to anyone else who
might be interested in helping to make it grow ...

It's ME! It's ME!

quick generic update for ya'll

You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out :)

1. First Name: Kris

2. Age: 43 years, 44 in December

3. Location: Butler, PA

4. Occupation: recently unemployed, :( (like, in the past month due to office closing), working on my license so I can depend on MYSELF again, as usual

5. Partner: My soul-mate, my "lobster" - my destiny, :D I've known him for 27 years, been with him 3 years (this time) and engaged for about 6 months (officially - that's when I got my ring). He's been my best friend for allllll these years and knows me better than anyone on Earth.

6. Kids: 2 beautiful daughters,- (ages 23 & 17), and now 2 wonderful step-sons, :)- (ages 17 & 15)

7. Brothers/Sisters: 2 sisters, 3 brothers

8. Pets: 2 psycho cats - Tater (my lovey calico) and Morrissey (the wild, untamed, 'tarded, orange tabby who is actually Alex's cat)

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: no job for me, Alex is a senior this year!!!, I'm engaged (did I mention that already? lol) Yes, life is good (except for no $$)

10. School: No school for me, not anymore - I graduated high school in 1982, got an Associate's Degree from BC3, got my cosmetology license from Butler Beauty School (since expired) and went to Slippery Rock to work on my Bachelor's but sadly, never finished. I'm working on my own toward my insurance agent license. There's a shitload of money I don't have, but my hunny said he'd help me, :D

11. Parents: My bio-father is a piece of shit. 'Nuff said. My mother and I have had our differences, but I've since grown up and realized that she's only human, as we all are, and I'm thankful that she did finally marry a man who took on her and her 4 kids. Nobody's perfect, and they are definitely the first to admit it.

12. Who are some of your closest friends?: Al, Karen (aka "the Midget Whore") - that's it. I'm not one to let people get too close to me too fast. It takes a while, for sure. I have many "friends", and very few FRIENDS, but these two are my CLOSEST.

well, DUH, heh
